A troubled world; who takes the lead?

(This lectures is open for registration for members of the Royal Industrieele Groote Club and two introduces per member).

This lectures is organized in duly cooperation with the Eastern Europe & Central Asia table, Aerospace & Defense table and the International Relations table of the Royal Industrieele Groote Club.

Topic of the lecture: unpredictabile things in the world in the year 2018. The United States seem to give up the leadership role; China presents itself expressly as a superpower, Russia is changing European borders by force, the Middle East is on fire. The European Union is struggling with immigration, populism and illiberal democrats. Count on your winnings!

Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is Professor of International Relations and Diplomatic Practice at the University of Leiden (the Hague Faculty Governance and Global Affairs). He is a member of the Supervisory board of Air France –KLM, chairman of the Advisory council on International affairs and president of the Chapter for the Civil Orders.
